About the Role
This position is to cover for a long-term absence. The initial contract will be until the end of December 2025 but can be extended if needed.
As a Teacher of Biology and Integrated Science, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons to students aged 11-18, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Plan and deliver safe lessons involving lab experiments.
- Encourage creative thinking and skill development through a variety of teaching methods.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
- Collaborate with a team of passionate educators to support a thriving science program.

The salary is a minimum of €3463, a maximum of €5277 for a full-time contract on the LB scale. The salary scale and the step offered will depend on your level of experience. The salary will be pro-rata for part time positions.

What We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (First-degree/Eerste graads) and full teaching qualification for Secondary Education (recognized by the Dutch Education Authorities).
- Strong command of English (C1 level).
- Experience teaching Biology to students aged 14-18, ideally in international or intercultural settings.
- Experience teaching Integrated Science to students aged 11-14 is desirable.
- A creative, inclusive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
- The ability to speak other European languages is desirable, but not essential.
- Flexibility to continue in the role beyond the initial contract, if required.
